 Michael Barrett, Co-Owner/Agent Mike's journey into the insurance world is a testament to his commitment to family and community. When his parents ran the agency, a pivotal moment arose in 2007 when his mother was diagnosed with cancer. Without hesitation, Mike stepped up and returned home to help run the family business. Since then, he has played a fundamental role in its growth and development. Outside of the insurance world, Mike's heart belongs to his family. He relishes spending quality time with his wife, Jenn, and their son, Ethan. Their yellow lab, Charley, completes their loving unit and even doubles as the office dog, bringing joy and comfort to clients and colleagues alike. Mike's wife, Jenn, has lovingly informed him that his favorite sports team is indeed the New England Patriots, and he proudly cheers for the team with unwavering enthusiasm. As for his sweet indulgence, Mike's candy of choice is Twix, savoring both the left and right bars equally. His commitment extends to his alma mater, St. Johnsbury Academy, where he is a member of the Alumni Council. In his local community, Mike has previously served on the Development Review Board, Planning Commission and Select Board for the town of Waterford and is also a valuable member of the Union Bank Advisory Board. What Mike treasures most about working at Barrett Insurance Agency is the opportunity to help clients understand the intricacies of insurance. Whether it's demystifying policies or providing guidance during crucial moments, he takes pride in being a trusted resource for those he serves.

 Jennifer Barrett, Co-Owner/Agent Jenn is a Co-owner, Principal, and Agent at Barrett Insurance Agency, where she has dedicated 16 years of her life. Her journey into the insurance industry began when she and her husband, Mike, returned to the St. Johnsbury area to support Mike's mother, Jenny Barrett, during her second battle with ovarian cancer. They started helping at his parents' agency, and their commitment to the industry was solidified during a challenging period when Jenny passed away in the summer of 2007, and Richard Barrett, Mike's father, was involved in a serious motorcycle accident in July 2008. Jenn and Mike had already obtained their insurance licenses earlier that year and were determined to carry on the outstanding reputation that Mike's parents had established in the community. Beyond her professional life, Jenn is a self-professed "Clean Freak" who takes pride in maintaining a home that appears untouched by human presence. She enjoys cleaning while listening to podcasts or audiobooks. In her free time, Jenn loves spending quality time with her husband and son, engaging in various activities such as reading and occasional furniture makeover projects. She is an passionate football fan and revels in planning her weekly football viewing menu during her favorite season of the year. Her loyalty to the New England Patriots remains steadfast, no matter their record, and her favorite memories include watching games with her dad. Jenn is also actively involved at her sons' school, donating endless hours to The Waterford School Association, where she contributes to planning and organizing enrichment events and fundraisers. When it comes to vacations, Jenn's heart belongs to Corolla, NC, in the Outer Banks, which has been their family's "Happy Place" for the past seven years. Relaxing on the beach and watching her son and cousins enjoy their annual gathering is a cherished tradition. Given that her siblings and their families live far away, this one week of togetherness is a precious time. She and Mike deeply value their community and the opportunity to support and be a part of it. Being part of a family-owned and operated business is a special privilege they cherish. The close-knit staff, some of whom are family members , along with their beloved office dog, Charley, share their commitment to the business and clients.  Kim Panton, Licensed CSR Kim is a dedicated Insurance Agent with a decade of experience under her belt. Her journey into this role was not by choice or convenience, but rather by a fortuitous twist of fate. When her daughter, Jenn, was preparing to go on maternity leave, Kim had just returned to the area from Missouri and brought with her a wealth of customer service experience. Seeing an opportunity to fill in, she transitioned into her current position and hasn't looked back since. She is a self-proclaimed homebody who finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. She relishes spending quality time with her friends and family, and occasionally indulges in crafting projects that allow her to express her creativity. When it comes to her guilty pleasure, nothing beats a classic Hershey milk chocolate bar. While Kim doesn't have any pets of her own, she finds solace in the company of her extended family and coworkers. Her passion for football is evident as she proudly supports the New England Patriots and enjoys watching the PGA when she's not cheering for her favorite team. Although she's found her niche in her current location, Kim's heart remains in Corolla, North Carolina, a place she holds dear within the picturesque Outer Banks. There, she enjoys the coastal beauty and serenity that the area offers during her annual family vacation. What truly sets Kim apart is her strong sense of community. She values working with her family, both the one she shares at home and the one she's built with her colleagues. This sense of togetherness and support shines through in her role as a Agent, where she's not just serving customers but also fostering a sense of belonging within her workplace.

Her journey into the insurance industry is a testament to her determination and the desire for a better work-life balance. Previously, she had a full-time job as a waitress while raising three young children. Realizing the need for more flexible hours that would grant her nights and weekends free, she made a life-changing decision to pursue a career in insurance. This decision has not only given her the desired flexibility but has also enriched her life with new challenges and opportunities.
Beyond her professional life, Anita enjoys a variety of activities. Her top priorities include spending quality time with her family, immersing herself in books, nurturing her creative side with quilting and crafting, indulging in the joys of baking, and taking leisurely walks outdoors to stay active and connected with nature.
Milk chocolate stands as Anita's favorite candy, offering a sweet indulgence in her daily life. In her home, she shares her space with Sophie, her beloved Jack Russell. Additionally, she takes great pleasure in spending time with her 5 "grandpups," with the interesting note that two of them are Sophie's siblings.
When it comes to her favorite places to visit, Anita cherishes family vacations that are meticulously planned with her children and parents. These journeys offer precious moments of togetherness and adventure. Additionally, she has a special affinity for "The Basin" in Franconia Notch, a natural wonder that she finds particularly captivating and soul-soothing.
